each Gig or portion of a Gig you are over your limit.
You can monitor your current usage from the Domain
Manager Console. |
|
CGI -
Your domain space comes with a cgi-bin directory
where you may place your own custom CGI scripts. CGI
scripts are often available on the Internet or you can
create your own. CGI scripts allow you to do many things
that cannot be done with HTML. The scripts include form
mailers, "hit" counters, sign-up scripts, shopping
carts, and guest books to name a few. |
|
PHP V4.0
- PHP Version 4.0 is an scripting language. It is
a language similar to Perl and Cl with it's own unique
features. PHP scripting allows web developers to write
dynamically generated pages quickly without the need for
CGI scripts. |
MySQL
-
MySQL is a database engine designed to provide fast
dynamic pages based on databases. Web designers often
use Perl of PHP scripts to access, manipulate and
display the dynamic information. MySQL is provided with
most or our hosting packages at no extra expense.
Each extra Database = $60 / 6mo or $10 / mo |
|
Microsoft
FrontPage Extensions - FrontPage 2002
extensions allow you to use the Microsoft FrontPage
program to create, maintain, and publish your web site.
FP Extensions also have a number of "web bots" that
allow many dynamic features such as forms, counters, etc
without use of CGI or PHP programming. FP Extensions are
automatically installed in your domain space. |
|

hosting on a Windows NT / 2000 platform. |

your
existing domain space (EX: Point www.mydomain.net, and
www.mydomain.org to your domain www.mydomain.com)

Domain Email |
Pop Accounts
- POP is short for Post Office Protocol, which is a
popular protocol used to retrieve e-mail from an e-mail
server. So, a POP Account is really just an email
mailbox. It always has a name like you@yourdomain.com.
POP Accounts can send or receive email.
Additional 20 POP accounts is $50 / 6mo or $9 / mo. |
Email
Space - The total space that can be filled
with email from all of your
email accounts is your Email Space. Additional Email
Space can be
obtained by upgrading your package or purchasing more.
100 meg = $60 / 6mo or $10 / mo. |
|
Alias
- An alias is just another name for a POP Account. For
example, you might have a POP Account called smith@yourcompany.com.
But if Smith is in charge of Sales at yourcompany.com,
you can create an alias called sales@yourcompany.com for
Smith to put on his business card. When you set up an
alias, you must designate an email account for the alias
to use. So when email is sent to sales@yourcompany.com,
the mail will end up in smith@yourcompany.com.
|
|
Forwards
- A Forward is a POP Account (which can send and
receive email) which forwards all the email it receives
to another POP Account. Forwards are commonly used when
someone takes a vacation. For example, Joe checks the
info@yourcompany.com email. What happens while Joe is on
vacation? The easiest thing to do is to FORWARD the
email sent to info@yourcompany.com to mary@yourcompany.com.
While Joe is away, Mary will automatically receive the
email sent to info@yourcompany.com. When Joe returns,
simply delete the Forward. |
|
Auto Responders - Automatically send an email
response. A typical use for an auto responder is to
acknowledge an email sent to an address like service@yourcompany.com.
When a customer sends an email to an auto responder
address, the auto responder does two things: it forwards
that email to another POP Account, and it automatically
sends a reply that you create in advance to the sender.
|
|
Mailing Lists
- The mailing list is simply a list of email addresses
identified by a single name (such as news@yourcompany.com).
When an email is sent to the mailing list name, it is
automatically forwarded to all the email addresses on
the list WITHOUT disclosing each email address to all
the other recipients. |
Webmail
- You may access any of your domain mail
accounts using our
Webmail interface if you choose. It is accessible from
any web browser
anywhere. Webmail is an incredibly full feature mail
client that is not browser dependent. |
